In addition to its humanitarian and development work, CSI has a separate division focused on research and advocacy.
CSI has strong roots in communities in Rakhine State, which it continues to strengthen by working closely with these communities. These relationships allow us to access information and data that many other actors cannot. With many staff members coming from affected communities, CSI has a natural advantage at contextualizing this information.
With a dedicated research team based in Indonesia, CSI is turning this information into crucial insights. We then disseminate the products to key stakeholders at the national, regional and international level. To support the long-term development of local research capacity, CSI trains and supports youth and academics from target communities.
